Christmas is only a few days away and I think we are ready!!!!
I felt so behind this year....finished up shopping this past weekend. Presents are under the tree....waiting to be opened. Scott is torturing me because he has put my gift under there already too. I don't do good with this waiting stuff...I pick it up everyday and shake it (like it is going to be make a new noise or something).
We had a nice and festive weekend. Friday night we had Scott's work Christmas party. It was at a delicious Italian restaurant that served everything family style.
Saturday we grocery shopped and baked all day. This year I decided I wanted to try new recipes for both sweets and Christmas dinner...should be interesting. I decided to do gingerbread cookies, chocolate truffles, and white chocolate/dried cranberry/pistachio bark for the sweets. I told myself a million times that we didn't need sweets this Christmas but, come on, you have to have some ;)
Sunday was some more grocery shopping and finishing up the sweets. It was also "date night"...we went out for dinner, relaxed and just enjoyed each other.
Today was Scott's official first day at his new office. His old office was about 20 minutes from where we live....his new office is a walk across the parking lot. He is really excited to be able to walk or ride his bike to work everyday. He won't be able to use traffic as an excuse any more...hahaha!!!!
My parents and brother will be here Saturday to share Christmas with us!!! We can not wait to show them our new home.
We hope everyone has a Happy and Safe Holidays!!!!!!!

Busy Busy
So Christmas is 2 weeks away....how did it get her so fast??
Both Scott and I have been very busy at work finishing off the year. Scott has been traveling to Sun City the past few weeks to work on a roadway project. While I have been working long hours to get some over time.
We have really been enjoying Charleston during Christmas. Last weekend we went to an Oyster Roast on the beach and watched the Boat Light Parade go through Charleston Harbor. Oysters are in season right now and very popular here. Roasted Oysters are yummy and fun to eat....you stand around a table and schuck the oyster yourself. We have been to a few roasts already this year.
Today we to went to the Holiday Farmers Market downtown Charleston.
Tonight we are going to the county park that has a 3 mile drive through light show. I am really excited for it and have heard some great things :)
We finally finished Christmas shopping today....which is totally not like me. I usually have all shopping done a few weeks ago.
We are getting really excited for Christmas and to have a few days off....and for my parents and brother to come visit!!!!
Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season!!!
